Salem
Meet Salem!
Salem is a handsome 4-year-old cat with a tender heart and a naturally shy nature. He’s still learning that people can be safe and kind, and lately he’s been making wonderful progress. While he may still hiss when he’s frightened, he has started to let staff gently touch him with a glove—an incredible step forward for this sweet boy who’s trying so hard to trust.
Salem is FIV-positive (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), a condition that affects a cat’s immune system and makes it a bit harder for him to fight off infections. But don’t let that discourage you—FIV+ cats can live long, healthy, happy lives with proper care and a calm indoor environment. FIV is not contagious to people or other animals, and is typically only transmitted to other cats through deep bite wounds, which are rare among friendly, neutered cats.
Because of his FIV status, Salem must be kept indoors and should either be the only cat in the home or live with other FIV+ cats.

Strudel has returned to us, but she’s still the same outgoing, affectionate lady we all love! This sassy 1 year old loves to play with other cats, so she would thrive in a home with a feline playmate to keep her entertained.
Her favorite quirk? Licking and nibbling toes—so she’s definitely a fan of sandal season! Full of fun energy and playful spirit, Strudel is ready to share her love and mischief with the perfect family.
Strudel was recently diagnosed with a luxating rear patella, which means she’ll need to stay active and have daily joint supplements like Dasuquin or Cosequin to keep her comfortable and happy.

This sweet, timid 1-year-old girl is looking for a patient home where she can take her time to build trust and confidence. Before coming to the shelter, Roo had very little interaction with humans, but she’s learning every day that love and kindness feel pretty wonderful.
Recently, Roo treated us to her own unique brand of creativity—she dropped a toy into her water dish, let it soak, and then had a grand time splashing around in the dyed water. The result? A bright pink, very noticeable “art piece” on her leg! We’re calling it her signature style.
Roo gets along well with other cats and would likely thrive in a home with feline companions to help her feel more secure. We’re not sure how she’d feel about dogs, but with slow introductions and time, she may be able to adjust.
