Meet Kitty! This chunky, spunky one-year-old boy took some time to adjust to shelter life, but now that he's feeling more comfortable, he's been showing his sweeter side to the staff. Kitty loves to play and chase you around, and he enjoys attention—but only on his terms. His playful, curious streak makes him a joy to interact with once he feels safe.
Kitty does not like other cats or dogs, so he would do best as the only pet in a patient and understanding home that allows him to continue building trust at his own pace. He would also do best without young children, so he can have the calm, loving environment he needs to thrive.

Salem

Salem is FIV-positive (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus)—a condition that affects a cat’s immune system, making it a bit harder for him to fight off infections. But don’t let that scare you: FIV+ cats can live long, healthy, and happy lives with proper care and a stress-free indoor lifestyle. FIV is not contagious to people or other animals, and it’s typically only transmitted to other cats through deep bite wounds (which are rare among friendly, neutered cats).
Because of his FIV status, Salem must be indoor-only and should either be the only cat in the home or live with other FIV+ cats.
