Two Years Later, Quinn's Dream Home Became a Reality
Quinn arrived at the shelter under distressing circumstances, with painful quills embedded in her face. Despite this rough start, the shelter staff immediately saw her potential and began nursing her back to health. Her physical recovery was only the beginning of her journey.
During her time at the shelter, Quinn developed a nervousness around strangers. This was understandable given her traumatic past. However, the shelter staff was not deterred. They believed in Quinn's capacity for love and happiness, and they dedicated themselves to helping her overcome her fears. The shelter invested thousands of dollars in Quinn's training. This commitment was not just about obedience but about giving Quinn the confidence she needed to thrive. The staff knew that beneath her nervous exterior was a loving companion waiting to emerge.
After two years of waiting, Quinn's patience and perseverance paid off. A family saw beyond her nervousness and recognized the loving dog she truly was. They offered her the forever home she had been waiting for, where she could finally feel secure and cherished.
Quinn's story is a testament to the power of patience, love, and dedication. Her journey from a scared, injured dog to a cherished family member is an inspiration to all who hear it.

Weeble: The Wobbly King
Weeble’s journey is one of resilience, charm, and a little bit of sass. Born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), a condition that affects his motor skills, he may wobble or tip over—but he always gets right back up and keeps going. His determination is unmatched, and his personality is just as big as his spirit.
Due to his condition, Weeble needed a single-story home without stairs to keep him safe. His sassy nature also meant he preferred to be the sole ruler of his kingdom, without children or other pets to compete with. Finding the perfect match took time, and after 145 days in the shelter, Weeble was still waiting for his chance.
Then, his big break came—Weeble was featured on the news, winning over hearts with his wobbly charm. Just days later, on March 5th, 2024, he finally found his forever home.
Now, Weeble is thriving—soaking up attention, indulging in treats, and ruling his new domain with confidence. His story is proof that even a little wobble can’t stop a determined spirit from finding the perfect place to call home.

Chestnut’s Remarkable Comeback: From Roof to Rescue
In June 2024, Chestnut, a golden retriever with a heart of gold, was found stranded on a roof, severely malnourished at just 50 pounds. As if that weren’t enough, he was diagnosed with Diabetes Insipidus, a rare condition requiring lifelong treatment, and tested positive for heartworms—a diagnosis that meant a long and difficult road to recovery.
Heartworm treatment is a slow and delicate process. For months, Chestnut had to remain calm and limit his activity to prevent complications, making it difficult for such a playful, affectionate dog to truly be himself. But despite the challenges, he never lost his sweet spirit, and thanks to incredible care and support, he overcame every obstacle in his way.
Now, Chestnut has found his perfect match in his foster-to-adopt mom, Dee. Though he’s still gaining weight and adjusting to his new life, he’s finally getting to enjoy the things he loves—leisurely walks, playtime with his favorite toys, and endless affection. Car rides still make him a little nervous, but with Dee by his side, he’s learning that the best adventures are just beginning.
After everything he’s been through, Chestnut is finally home—safe, loved, and thriving. 💛
