Rex
Meet Rex!
Rex is a striking 4-year-old with a big heart, boundless energy, and a personality that truly shines. He has been with us for 9 months, patiently waiting for the perfect forever home where he can thrive. This loyal and affectionate boy is a true gentleman once he’s comfortable—gentle, loving, and eager to please. He adores attention, playtime, and going on walks and outdoor adventures. Rex is also muzzle-trained, enjoys swimming and splashing in the water, and has a playful curiosity that makes every day exciting.
Rex has some specific needs that make him best suited for the right home. He would do best as the only dog and in a home with no small children. He should not live with cats or small animals, and he thrives best in a home with a woman who can provide him the care, patience, and love he needs. Rex has thyroid issues that require management and may resource guard, so he is fed separately. Despite these needs, his affectionate nature and loyal heart make him a wonderful companion for someone ready to provide structure, consistency, and love.
After 9 months with us, Rex is ready to finally find a calm, understanding home where he can explore, play, and receive all the attention he deserves. He’s more than just a pet—he’s a devoted friend, adventure buddy, and loving presence who will bring joy, laughter, and companionship to the right family.

Stella
🐾 Meet Stella 🐾
Stella is around 4 years old, and one thing about her — she loves BIG. 💛 When Stella bonds with her person, she gives her whole heart. Her loyalty runs deep, and once you’re in her circle, you’re there forever.
Like many dogs who haven’t always felt safe in the world, Stella just needed a little extra help learning that not everything is as scary as it seems. That’s why she is currently in training with Christine, and she has been working SO hard. In just her first weeks, she’s already making meaningful progress — improving her leash manners, practicing her “come” command, building confidence, learning how to settle, and most importantly, discovering that people can be kind and safe.
The sweetest part? She and Christine were instantly besties. 🥹 Once Stella feels comfortable, her affectionate, goofy, and deeply loving personality really shines.
Stella can be reactive toward men and tends to feel most comfortable with women, so she would likely do best in a female-led home where she can continue building trust at her own pace. With the right guidance, patience, and understanding, she is continuing to make great progress.
Because trust is so important to her, Stella will need multiple meet and greets with her potential adopter to build that bond before heading to her forever home. She thrives when given time, patience, and consistency — and we promise, she is worth every bit of it.
Stella will do best in a home committed to continuing her progress with structure, encouragement, and lots of love. In return, you’ll gain a fiercely devoted companion who will love you bigger than you ever imagined.
If you’re ready to meet this incredible girl, please call or message us to book a meet and greet with Stella. Her forever home is out there — maybe it’s with you. 💕

*pending adoption* Cookie
Cookie has found herself back at the shelter and is once again searching for a family to call her own.
At 5 years old, Cookie is a sweet, silly girl who loves her people. While she can be a little shy at first, once she's comfortable with her humans, her fun personality really shines. She enjoys car rides, knows how to sit, walks nicely on a leash, and has been working hard on building her confidence around new people and strangers.
Like many dogs, Cookie could benefit from some continued training, but she's eager to learn and loves spending time with those she trusts.
Cookie has lived with other animals in the past and may do well with them again if given proper introductions. She would be happiest in a home with older children who can respect her space while she settles in and builds trust.
If you're looking for a loyal companion who just needs a little time to show her true self, Cookie might be the perfect match for you. ❤️

Charlette
💕 **Meet Charlette 💕
At just **6 months old**, Charlette is everything you could want in a puppy. She's silly, bouncy, playful, curious, and overflowing with love. Like any young dog, she's still learning the ropes, but she's eager to please and approaches every new adventure with a wagging tail.
Charlette absolutely adores people and never turns down the chance to make a new friend. She also gets along wonderfully with other animals and would thrive in just about any home that's ready to provide the love, patience, and guidance every puppy needs.
Charlette is currently available through our **Foster-to-Adopt Program**. Because of her age, she will remain in her foster-to-adopt home until after her **first heat cycle**, when she will be spayed and her adoption can be finalized. This allows her forever family to bring her home now while ensuring she receives the care she needs at the appropriate time.
We truly can't say enough wonderful things about Charlette. She is affectionate, social, goofy, and full of puppy joy. If you're looking for a best friend to grow alongside your family, Charlette just might be the perfect match. ❤️🐾

Hamel
**Meet Hamel!** 🐾
Hamel is a handsome 4-year-old boy with an incredible story and an even bigger heart. He can be a little nervous when meeting new people and adjusting to new environments, so he may need a little patience at first. Once he gets to know you, though, he's an absolute sweetheart who loves being with his people.
You may recognize Hamel's face! He came to us after spending several weeks loose in the Milford area before finally making his way to the shelter. During that time, he suffered a severe traumatic injury to his left hind leg that unfortunately required amputation.
The good news? Hamel hasn't let becoming a tripod slow him down one bit! He has healed beautifully, adapted incredibly well, and gets around just like any other happy dog. At this time, he has no other known medical concerns.
When Hamel first arrived, he was covered in several hundred ticks. Thankfully, his bloodwork came back negative for tick-borne diseases. As a precaution, he completed a 28-day course of doxycycline, as these diseases don't always appear on initial bloodwork. Because of this treatment, he may test faintly positive for certain tick-borne diseases in the future despite not having an active infection.
If you're looking for a resilient, loving companion who has overcome so much without losing his sweet spirit, Hamel just might be your perfect match.
