Rex
Meet Rex! ❤️
Rex is **5 years and 8 months old** and has now spent **589 days at The Animal Orphanage** waiting for his person. Our biggest goal is to find Rex the home he deserves before he reaches two full years of living in the shelter.
Rex is a big-hearted, playful boy who **absolutely adores women**. Once he trusts you, he bonds deeply and becomes an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. He loves attention, outdoor adventures, car rides, playing with his toys, and especially swimming and splashing in the water. He is also muzzle-trained and has worked hard on skills that help set him up for success.
Rex needs a very specific home, but we know his person is out there. He is looking for a **woman-only home with no children or other pets**, including cats and small animals. Rex does have thyroid issues that require management and can resource guard, so he benefits from structure, consistency, and an adopter who understands his needs.

Stella
🐾 Meet Stella 🐾
If there’s one thing you need to know about Stella, it’s that this girl **loves with her WHOLE heart.** 💛
At around 4 years old, Stella forms deep bonds with the people she trusts. It may take a little time to earn your spot in her circle, but once you’re in? **You’re her person, and she’s all in.** 🥹
Stella recently spent time working with her trainer, Christine, where she put in some SERIOUS work—and we are so proud of her! 👏 She worked on her leash manners, recall, settling, building confidence, and learning that the world (and the people in it!) don’t always have to be scary.
And Christine? Stella decided almost immediately that they were going to be **besties.** 😂💕 Once Stella feels safe, you get to see the girl we all know and love: affectionate, goofy, playful, and incredibly devoted.
Now Stella is **back at the shelter and continuing all of the hard work she started with Christine.** She’s practicing her new skills, building on her progress every day, and most importantly—**she is READY to find her forever home!** 🏡💛
Stella can be reactive toward men and is most comfortable with women, so she would do best in a **female-led home** willing to continue giving her the structure, patience, and consistency that have helped her come so far.
Because trust is a big deal to Stella, her future adopter will need to come for **multiple meet & greets** before bringing her home. Think of it as Stella’s very thorough friendship application process. 😂
But once she chooses you? **She chooses you BIG.**

Charlette *foster-to-adopt*

At **8 months old**, Charlette is basically a little ray of sunshine with four legs and a wagging tail. ☀️😂 She’s silly, bouncy, curious, playful, and has **SO much love to give.**
Charlette absolutely **LOVES people** and firmly believes strangers are just friends she hasn’t met yet. 🥹 She also does wonderfully with other animals, making her an all-around social butterfly who could fit into just about any home ready for some puppy energy and a whole lot of love.
She’s still young and learning how to be the very best girl, but she’s eager to please, excited to learn, and approaches pretty much everything in life like it’s the **BEST. THING. EVER.** 😂
Charlette is currently available through our **Foster-to-Adopt Program.** She can head home with her future family now and will remain foster-to-adopt until after her **first heat cycle**, when she’ll be spayed and her adoption can officially be finalized. ❤️

Luna
🐾 Meet Luna! 🐾
Luna is a sweet 5-year-old girl who was found this summer and is now looking for a loving forever home. She may be nervous when meeting someone new, but give her a little time—and maybe a few treats—and she’ll begin to warm up and happily enjoy pets.
One of Luna’s favorite things is playing with toys! She would love a home where she can enjoy plenty of playtime, affection, and quality time with her people.
Luna does experience some separation anxiety, so she takes fluoxetine daily to help her feel safe and brave. This is an important medication that she must continue taking. If her future family ever considers changing or discontinuing it, that decision must be made with the guidance and supervision of a veterinarian.
Luna may do well with other dogs following proper, slow introductions and successful meet-and-greets. We’re not yet sure how she feels about cats, so a cat-free home may be the best fit unless introductions can be handled safely and appropriately.
Luna also has two sarcoma tumors on her left side that have been evaluated by a veterinarian. At this time, her veterinary team does not have concerns about them, but we want her future family to have all the information they need when considering this wonderful girl.

Lilly will need to be the only dog in the home, as she does not do well with other dogs. We are currently unsure how she feels about cats.

Now 8 months old, Ahzo is still very much a puppy—full of energy, personality, curiosity, and plenty of goofy antics. She is affectionate, playful, and always ready to have some fun!
Ahzo is looking for a home that can provide the structure, consistency, and training she needs to become the very best version of herself. She’s a smart young dog with lots of potential, but like many adolescent pups, she still has some learning to do. Ahzo is also actively working on potty training, so her new family will need to continue helping her develop a reliable routine and reinforce good habits.
Ahzo would do best in a home with children over 12 years old, as younger children can cause her quite a bit of stress. A home with older, dog-savvy children who can respect her space and boundaries would be the best fit.
The good news? Ahzo is dog-friendly! 🐶💕 She enjoys having canine friends and may benefit from having another well-matched dog in the home to play with, learn from, and help burn off some of that puppy energy.

But once you’ve earned Raven’s trust, you’ve earned her heart. ❤️ She loves pets, playtime, and spending time with her favorite people.
