Rex
Meet Rex!
Rex is a striking 4-year-old Boxer mix searching for his forever home. This loyal and energetic pup has some specific needs but is full of love and potential for the right family.
Rex should not live with cats or small animals and would prefer to be the only dog. He would do best in a home with no small children. Rex has thyroid issues that require management and he may resource guard, so feeding him separately is important. He is a really sweet boy that just wants to be in a home where he can be loved and cared for.
If you’re ready to provide a structured and loving environment, Rex would love to meet you!

Grace
🐾 Grace is Still Searching for Her Second Chance 🐾
When Grace came back to us, we knew she wasn’t broken—just misunderstood. She hadn’t quite found the right fit, and we were determined to give her every opportunity to finally feel safe, seen, and supported.
That’s when we turned to our incredible friend and partner, Christine McAvoy, a trainer who has become a vital part of our shelter family. Christine has a heart for dogs like Grace—those with big feelings and even bigger potential. She’s helped Grace begin to let go of fear and replace it with trust. Together, they’ve worked through the things that once felt impossible.
Grace has been learning so much. She’s learning that medical handling doesn’t have to be scary. That it’s okay to rest when the world feels overwhelming. That humans can be patient, gentle, and kind. Her muzzle is now a tool of comfort, not fear, and her crate has become a safe haven where she can regroup when life feels too loud.
She’s still sensitive—sudden changes or too much commotion can throw her off—but she’s learning to cope. She’s learning that it’s okay to take a step back and breathe. She’s made incredible progress, and we are so proud of her.
Grace has strong boundaries that must always be respected—never pushed—and she needs a family that will honor that. She would thrive in a calm, quiet home with no children or other pets, where she can continue to build trust at her own pace.
She’s high-energy and needs outlets for her zoomies and zest for life. She absolutely loves running around the yard, exploring, going for walks, and engaging with her enrichment toys. Puzzle feeders and scent games are some of her favorite ways to stay busy and feel accomplished.
Grace also does wonderfully out in public with someone she trusts. She’s affectionate in her own sweet way, and when she bonds with you, it’s deep and unwavering.
To ensure her transition into a new home is as successful as possible, Christine has offered to help with meet-and-greets and support her adopters, sharing all the tools and routines Grace has learned during her time in training. We couldn’t ask for a better guide to help Grace write this next chapter of her story.
Grace has come so far. She just needs someone to believe in her the way we do—to give her that final piece of the puzzle: a home.
If you think you could be Grace’s person—the one who sees past her past and straight into her heart—please come meet her. Her second chance is waiting. Maybe it’s with you.

Hercules
Meet Hercules – The Sweet & Sassy Lovebug! 🐾
Hercules is a 3-year-old pup with a heart of gold and a personality that will keep you smiling every single day. This absolute sweetheart loves his humans, loves to play, and has just the right amount of sass to make life more fun.
Ask Hercules to sit for a treat and he’ll do it… but not without a little commentary—expect some huffs, puffs, and maybe even a bark or two as he gets the job done. He’s a total character who knows how to make you laugh while still melting your heart.
Hercules must be the only pet in your home—no other dogs, no cats—because he wants all of the love, attention, and treats to himself. And honestly, once you meet him, you’ll see he’s more than enough to fill your heart.
If you’re looking for a playful, loyal, and delightfully sassy best friend, Hercules is ready to take on that role (and your couch). ❤️
📍 Come meet Hercules and see how quickly he’ll steal your heart!
